- The Library buys new books, journals, and documents (hard copies, CDs, video cassettes, on floppy disks, etc.) requested by Hospital wards or departments – chiefs of staff or divisions heads must make the requests.
- A subscriptions campaign - is held once a year in September – October from which suggestions are gathered regarding new subscriptions and which ones to cancel. Decisions regarding new subscriptions or cancellations are made by taking into account the needs of the clinical wards and services as well as those of the library.

The NEW ACQUISITIONS NEWSLETTER contains a list of acquisitions or donations that have arrived over the past six months. Book searches can be made by date of arrival, title, author, category, subject matter.
